I thoroughly enjoy printing. In the past I made my own wet lab B&W and Cibachrome color prints. Today, I process and print digitally on Ilford archival paper using an Epson printer and Ultrachrome inks. Most recent work is from digital DSLR cameras but some is from 35 mm and medium format cameras using transparency film that is scanned into digital files for printing.

My priority is to produce high quality display images. This requires good lenses and high resolution sensors. Plus, lots of care taking and printing the picture. Prints are on acid free luster finish paper. The actual printed image size is kept slightly inside the paper edges to give a white boarder for matting and my signature.
Q: How do I pay for prints?
A: When you contact me, I'll give you Pay Pal or bank deposit details.
Q: How have you set your print prices?
A: They are based on pricing of professional New Zealand and United States landscape photographers. There is a wide range of prices and I periodically review print prices from high quality photographers with reasonable prices. My pricing is middle of the road.
Q: How are prints packaged for shipping?
A: They are rolled and in a shipping tube. This protects the print and is economical to ship. The prices above are for the print and shipping is additional.
Q: Site photos are fairly recent, how can I see your earlier work?
A: Many of the photos on the site are from when I went to digital cameras in 2012. However, there are a lot of site photos predating this from scans of transparency film used on various cameras including 35 mm, 6 x 7 cm medium format and a 4 x 5 inch view camera.
Q: You only give prices for prints up to 36 x 24 inches. Can you provide larger prints?
A: Yes, but there are some qualifications. Maximum print size is a function of sensor resolution or size of the transparency that is scanned. I have confidence that all my site files will print well up to A2 /20 x 16 inches. Many files will print bigger particularly from full frame sensors. Scans of 6 x 7 cm transparency's will support wall size murals. Contact me for prints larger than 20 x 16 inches.
Q: You have a long history with photography, is this you primary profession?
A: No, I worked in public heath involved with control of outdoor air pollution and workplace exposure to toxic chemicals. Photography has always been a hobby. Making money from photography especially with a passion for landscapes is extremely difficult. Better to keep the day job.
